At Harrisonville Community Church, we are committed to loving God and loving others. We are a Christ-centered community grounded in the authority of Scripture and united by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Through worship, discipleship, and life together, we seek to welcome, encourage, and edify one another. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we pursue obedience to Christ so that we may be conformed to His image and faithfully proclaim the gospel to our neighbors and the nations!

We are a Christ-centered body of believers committed to the authority of God's Word. Our highest values are to love God and love others. From these two principles, we derive all our values.
Worshiping God by living with authenticity.
Praying continuously with sincerity.
Trusting in God’s Word as our ultimate authority.
Stewarding our time, talents, and resources with integrity.
Receiving one another and strangers with hospitality.
Responding to the needs of others with our generosity.
Serving our neighbors and the nations with humility.
Proclaiming the Word of God with accuracy and clarity.
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We believe in the one and only true God who is spirit. He is self-existent, infinite,
personal, unchangeable, and eternal in his being. He is perfect in holiness,
righteousness, love, justice, goodness, wisdom and truth. He is omnipotent,
omniscient, and omnipresent. He is the creator and sustainer of all things both
visible and invisible. He is both immanent in and transcendent to the creation. The
one triune God exists and reveals himself as three persons, as Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit.
We believe in the Trinity, which is the doctrine that God is one, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three persons of the Trinity are distinct and unified, co-existing in perfect harmony and working together to create and sustain the world. We recognize that since God is the Creator and the source of all life, He exists in three persons who are distinct yet united, understanding each other completely and working together to bring about His plans for humanity. We believe that the Trinity is an essential part of understanding God and His purpose for us. By embracing the Trinity, we can have a deeper relationship with the Lord and better understand His will for our lives.
We believe in God the Father, the first person of the Trinity, who is eternal, holy, and sovereign over all things. He is the Creator and Sustainer of heaven and earth, perfect in wisdom, power, and love, and actively involved in His creation according to His sovereign will. The Father lovingly reveals Himself to humanity through His Word and supremely through His Son, Jesus Christ.
We believe that God the Father adopts all who place their faith in Christ, graciously providing for His children and faithfully accomplishing His redemptive purposes. He rules over all things for His glory and the good of His people, and He is worthy of all worship, trust, and obedience.
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was made in the likeness of men. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, thus organically and permanently uniting His divine nature with human nature in one unique person, the incarnate Son of God.
The purpose of the incarnation was to reveal God and to redeem mankind, a redemption accomplished through Christ’s death and resurrection. He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God, where He intercedes for us.
He is the head of the Church, which is His body, and holds an exalted position above all. Ultimately, every knee shall bow to Him, and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who proceeds from the Father and the Son and is fully God. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe in Jesus Christ, and indwells every believer, empowering them to live a godly life. He illuminates the Scriptures so that God’s people may understand and obey the Word of God, and He produces spiritual fruit in the lives of believers.
We believe the Holy Spirit unites believers to Christ and to one another as the body of Christ, guiding, comforting, and strengthening them in their walk with God. According to His sovereign will, the Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church and the advancement of the gospel, always in harmony with Scripture and for the glory of God.
We believe the original texts of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments,
which the Church historically accepted as the Holy Scriptures, are God-breathed.
These Scriptures are truth, written by holy men who were chosen and equipped by
God for this special task.
The primary content of the revelation is truth about God himself, about his acts in
history, about man in his sinful condition, and about the relationship that can be
established and maintained between God and man through the person and work of
Jesus Christ who completed God's plan of salvation.
We believe the Scriptures, errorless in the original documents, are divine authority
in all matters which they address. Their truthfulness is not negated by the
occurrences of such things as irregularities of grammar or spelling, intended and
conventional generalizations or approximations, various literary devices,
observational descriptions of nature, or reports of false statements made by evil
persons. Since God the Holy Spirit is the source of the message as well as the mover
and supervisor of those who recorded it, the Bible is reliable in what it
communicates and is the supreme authority for faith and practice. Nothing may be
taken from it and nothing may be added.
We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus was sent by God to save us and give us eternal life. Salvation is only possible through faith in Jesus and repentance of our sins. We understand that we are saved through grace and not by any works of our own. The Bible teaches us that no matter what mistakes we make, God’s love and grace are always available to us. We believe that through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are able to have the assurance of salvation and the promise of eternal life with God.
We believe in the importance of baptism. Baptism symbolizes a believer's commitment to Jesus and His teachings, and is an outward act of confessing our faith in Him. We believe that baptism is essential to Christian discipleship, and it is a beautiful way to proclaim our allegiance to Jesus. Baptism is a sacred and meaningful experience, and we are deeply committed to helping believers celebrate this important milestone in their journey of faith. By celebrating and honoring baptism, we are proclaiming our faith in Jesus and our desire to serve Him and others.
We believe that the Church is a holy assembly of believers, united in Jesus Christ. We strive to be a community of believers who are united in our faith in Jesus Christ and in our commitment to serve Him and His kingdom. We are committed to loving God and loving others, and to be known for our love for one another. We believe that the Church is a body of believers who are called to serve and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to be faithful disciples of Jesus and to follow His teachings. We strive to live out our faith through loving actions and service to our neighbors and the nations.
We believe in the power of prayer, both individually and corporately, as an expression of faith in God's work in our lives. Prayer is an essential part of a Christian life and is used to talk to God and to communicate with Him. We pray for guidance, strength, healing, protection, and for our families, friends, and community. Through prayer, we seek to deepen our understanding of God's will and His plans for our lives. Praying helps us grow closer to God and to gain a better understanding of His will and how we can best serve Him. When we pray, we open ourselves up to God and He will answer us in His own way and in His own time. Prayer is a beautiful and powerful way to communicate with our Heavenly Father and to seek His love and guidance.
